Park to Park is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with Parks on the Air® (POTA) or its organizers.
1. Information We Collect
Park to Park is designed to operate without user accounts or personal profiles.
The application stores:
- Log data you enter, such as callsigns, QSO timestamps (UTC), band, mode, signal reports, park references, and optional notes.
- A randomly generated session token used to access and resume a log.
No names, email addresses, or identity information are required or collected.
2. How This Information Is Used
Log data is used solely to:
- Display and manage your logging session
- Export ADIF files for submission to external services such as Parks on the Air®
We do not sell, share, or use your data for advertising, analytics, or tracking.
3. Session Tokens
Access to a log is controlled by a unique session token. Anyone with the token can access the associated log.
You are responsible for keeping your token private.
Tokens are not tied to any personal identity.
4. Cookies & Local Storage
The site may use limited browser storage (such as cookies or localStorage) to improve usability or preserve in-progress form data.
These values do not identify you and are not transmitted to third parties.
5. Server Logs
Our hosting provider may collect standard server logs (such as IP address, request time, and browser type) for security and operational purposes.
These logs are not used for profiling or marketing.
6. Third-Party Services
Park to Park does not embed advertising, analytics, or tracking scripts.
If external services are added in the future (such as map tile providers or lookup APIs), this policy will be updated accordingly.
7. Data Retention
Log data is stored on the server until it is deleted or the service is discontinued. There is no guarantee of long-term data retention.
Users are encouraged to export their logs regularly.
8. Changes
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
